History of the Mestalla Stadium or "Mestalla, Camp del València".

This stadium was built in 1923, having founded the club in 1919.

The Mestalla stadium is owned by the Valencia Club de Fútbol and is located in the Mestalla neighborhood of the city of Valencia, between two very popular avenues, Av. de Suecia and the Av. de Aragón.

Camp of Mestalla.

It was inaugurated in 1923 and owes its name to the historic canal of Mestalla, which passed by the southern step of the stadium and had to be overcome to reach it during its first decades. Between 1969 and 1994, this construction was called Luis Casanova Stadium in honor of Luis Casanova Giner, who was considered one of the best presidents in the history of the club, beginning his work in 1936.

The stadium of Mestalla currently has a capacity of 49,677 people, although it used to be of 55,000. The capacity was reduced due to the reforms carried out inside the stadium and the installation of new markers.

This emblematic stadium has hosted a total of 31 international matches of the Spanish national soccer team, plus 5 games of the Spanish National Team during the 1992 Olympic Games, and has hosted 10 finals of the Copa del Rey, being the last in 2014.
