We will begin in the church Natividad de Nuestra Señora, a mosque in its origins and converted into a parish church afterwards, a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. Something curious is that its stairs come from materiales belonging to the Theater of Sagunto. Next to the church we find Berenguer House (14th and 15th centuries), where we will visit a small museum about the costumes that carried actors and actresses who performed the tragedies and comedies. In the same place we will see the remains of the old temple of Diana and the cistern or mikve of the old synagogue. Then we will enter through the Portal de la Sang, where we will see the historical site of the Judería of Sagunto that became the most important of the Kingdom of Valencia during the 14th and 15th centuries. On the way out, we will be accessing the Sagunto Archaeological Museum, where we will see the statues of the main divinities (Diana, Mercury and Dionysus), as well as other Roman daily life items (such as coins, inscriptions and amphoras). From this point we will begin the ascent to the ruins of the castle of Sagunto in which many civilizations have left their mark.

Half way through, we will find the Roman Theater, the second most important in Spain after the Emerita Augusta (Mérida), with which it has a certain relationship due to the organization of the Classic Theater Festival in summer ("Sagunt a scene"). This monument was built from the 1st to the 3rd century by the importance of the city of Sagunto in front of the old Valentia (Valencia) at that time. We will follow the ascent leaving to our left-hand side the old Jewish graveyard until we arrive at the doors of the castle, of Iberian origin, that reached its maximum splendor in the Roman time and that conserves rests of other cultures like visigodos, Arabs, Christians and even of the army of Napoleón, Turning it into a set of cultural wealth. In this place there was resistance against the Carthaginian general Hannibal who tried to subdue the city, a fact that led to the Saguntines preferring to sacrifice their lives rather than surrender. This fact led to the privilege of Roman citizenship from Rome.

On our way back we will stop at the town of El Puig to see the Monastery of Santa María, founded by the will of King James I the Conqueror in 1240. Its historical relevance comes from the fact that in 1237 this place was the final confrontation for the Conquest of Valencia, the Battle of Puig.
