Place of resistance of the Fueros (old valencian laws) until the takeover of the city by the French under the command of Felipe V in the year 1707, whose portrait hangs faced down in the museum of the grain deposit of the city like reprisal to the burning of the city ordered by this monarch, since the people of Jáiva remained faithful during the contest to its old institutions and customs.

The tour will start in the old town of Xátiva. We will leave from the Plaza Santa Tecla to the San Francesc street to see the church of the same name, arriving then at the Plaza Trinidad where are the Palace of Alarcón and the old Convent of the Trinity are. We will continue towards Plaza Alexander VI, which houses the home of this important pope of the Borgia family, and then we will see the parish church of San Pedro where the former pontiff was baptized.

The next important point is the Collegiate Church Basílica of Santa María, with herrerian Renaissance, baroque churrigueresco and neobizantino historicism styles. Just in front of the main door, on the other side of the Plaza Calixto III, is the old Major Hospital of Santa Ana that still continues to perform hospital functions today. Then we will pass through the Plaza del Mercado where we will appreciate the peculiarity of its arcades, and we will start through the original street Las Santas the ascent to the famous Castle of Játiva. On the way we will pass the Church of San Félix and an old snowstorm for the snow store. After seeing all its buildings and defensive constructions, besides contemplating the privileged views that the fort has, we will try some typical food of the area to recover forces, before going to the Charco de Quesa (valencian original landscape). These are a set of natural pools of different sizes and depths embedded between mountains and forests of pine, shrub and aromatic plants. Here we will take a dip to end the day.
